VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is coordinating a European Commission-funded project which brings together several leading European research institutes in the field of electrochemical conversion.
The three-year 2.5 million-euro BALANCE project seeks to demonstrate a technology that enables flexible storage of large amounts of renewable power. This electrochemical conversion technology is known as ReSOC (Reversible Solid Oxide Cell).
