Finnish company Taaleri plans to invest about $600m over the next few years to develop its first wind projects in North America.
Taaleri’s private equity funds are currently in talks over wind energy projects with more than 500MW of capacity, it said.
The company, which established an energy unit in September, aims to invest in wind and solar power plants across North America, Europe, India and Africa.
It has cooperation agreements with Wärtsilä and ABB.
